Socio-cultural predictors of female participation in sports in Ebonyi State, Nigeria

Background: Women have faced barriers that discouraged their progress in the level of participation sport across all countries and Nigeria is not an exception. This study examined socio-cultural factors influencing women sports Ikwo local governments, Ebonyi state. Methods: The descriptive survey design was used. population comprised 200 female athletes governments which covered twenty (20) wards. They no need for sampling hence entire used study. A self-structured questionnaire employed collecting data from respondents. Data collected were analyze descriptively using frequencies, percentages, mean standard deviations.
